In the beginning water came to us miraculously from God, sky, bubbling up from Earth, rushing over boulders in streams, pristine in alpine lakes, replete with tasty traces of healthful alkalizing minerals, with enhanced energy from the sunlight, embodying in each life-giving drop beauty, quality, clarity—more precious, really, than even a diamond when it came to life. 

In nature, water was once purified through a process of evaporation and condensation, resulting in rainfall—then gravity-filtered through the Earth’s crust becoming enriched with alkalinizing minerals while being vitalized by the Earth’s magnetic core. To make modern water safe, it must be extensively treated and c hemicalized, often with dangerous treatment options such as chlorination that produces carcinogenics trihalomethanes found in high levels in Los Angeles’s drinking water, among other cities. 

Traces of these chemicals and others such as lead or arsenic end up anyway in our bodies from what we imbibe; drinking water is linked with a wide range of deadly diseases from bladder cancer and hypertension to birth defects. For most of us, tap water is a far cry from Nature’s origins. 

Throughout America our tap water is an anemic second cousin to what our bodies crave and need. 

Unfortunately few, if any, sources of true, organically complete water exist due to global contamination of ground water. Slow is good! The Santevia™ Water System is based on long contact filtration. Gravity, rather than water pressure, maximizes filtration time and allows water to move naturally through the multiple levels of filtering and re-mineralization elements. It is designed to produce 5 gallons (20 liters) of water per day, which, based on optimal water consumption, should be adequate for a family of five for drinking and cooking. After a few tanks of water have flowed through, and the system is fully wetted, the time required should end up around 3-4 hours. You can ensure maximum flow through by soaking the ceramic pre-filter prior to assembly and by scrubbing both sides of it with a scrub sponge.
