The Green Patriot Green 100 companies are leading the way to a safer and more secure America with their dedication to environmental sustainability and their understanding of the carbon-neutral imperative, while remaining profitable and competitive in the marketplace.

Some of these companies are giants with global presence and a troubled history, and others are quite small, but all are taking important, powerful steps in terms of reducing greenhouse emissions, educating consumers about sustainability, and setting examples of green innovation and corporate responsibility.

Companies have been selected for the Green Patriot Green 100because of their
outstanding achievement or progress in the following areas:

  1. Demonstrating an understanding of the importance of being carbon
    neutral, and practicing carbon offsetting and green production practices.
  2. Avoiding and reducing the use of petroleum throughout their production
    process, and increasing the use of environmentally friendly or friendlier oil
  3. Reducing or eliminating the use of petrochemicals and petroleum-derived
    ingredients in their consumer products.
  4. Avoiding and reducing the use of toxins and other health-destructive
    chemicals in their consumer products and throughout their production
  5. Using exclusively, or increasing the use of healthy, organic and sustainable
    biological ingredients.
  6. Designing packaging to reduce consumer waste.
  7. Encouraging sustainability, while fostering the flourishing of nature.
  8. Helping to educate consumers about sustainability.
  9. Being leaders in innovation in the green movement and among their
  10. Influencing the marketplace through their example of green practices and   profitability.
